We will be providing a range of physics themed activities for children to explore with their grown ups. This activity session is running during self-service opening. If you are planning to come, please make sure you have a library card and are registered for self-service access. Please remember to bring your library card with you so you can access the building.  You can join the library at any time during our staffed opening hours.

Join local author Liz Webb for a FREE evening discussing her gripping debut novel, "The Daughter". Set around Highgate Wood and other North London locations, "The Daughter" is a dark, sharply plotted family mystery, coloured by the author's background in BBC radio and stand-up comedy. To celebrate Refugee Week and World Refugee Day Exiled Writers Ink and Barnet Libraries invite refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and other displaced people to a free workshop focused on the themes memory and compassion.  Led by Yvonne Green who is a poet, translator and teacher, attendees are asked to bring or just talk about objects from home, pass them around and explain the significance of the objects for them. Yvonne will also be sharing a poem in discussion with the group. Please bring something to describe such as a photo, clothing or another object.

Rhyme Time at Osidge Library

Rhyme Time is a 30 minute facilitated session for parents and carers and their babies and toddlers. The session involves nursery rhymes and songs, books and a story. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Rhyme Time takes place in term time only. 

Bookable one to one IT session. These sessions are aimed at anyone who needs extra help with any basic IT needs such as Blue badge applications, freedom pass applications, setting up emails and more.

Stuck on a problem and need a little help? Attend our drop-in sessions to get some quick advice on: Smartphones, tablets and e-readers, accessing the internet, setting up an email address, using digital library services, making video calls and more. Drop-in session, no booking required.

Read Out Loud! at Colindale library

'Read Out Loud' reading group. Children will be provided with a script of a play and a character to read with the group, bringing to life children’s favourite stories. Book ahead and collect a script or just turn up on the day and make reading fun. You can even come along dressed as your favourite character!
