Coppetts Wood Festival

Coppetts Wood Festival is a family friendly festival located in a glade in Coppetts Wood local Nature Reserve. There will be a range of family friendly activities taking place across the afternoon, including arts and crafts, face painting, tombola, clay modelling, a puppet show, music, Morris dancers, and food and drink available.

A free inclusive family-friendly festival featuring two music stages, a large selection of street food stalls, licensed bars, over 100 local crafters/makers and community organisations, activities and sports for all, including tennis, pickleball, children’s crafts and games, storytelling tent, laser tag and much more. Many stallholders will be showcasing upcycled and sustainably sourced products and there’ll be an eco-arts tent for children, run by East Finchley Open Artists.

Barnet Vale Festival

The Barnet Vale Festival is a community event of talks, live music, stalls and activities, organised by the Friends of Tudor Park and Pavilion, a registered charity run by volunteers aiming to restore the historic Tudor Park pavilion and create a new hub for the community in the park.

Welcome to the Finchley Sharing Space! Join us at the Finchley Church End Library for a fun-filled evening of sharing and swapping gifts and food with your community. Drop in at any time, supervised children are very welcome too. This is our LAST event out of the 12 funded by Ashden and Think&Do Camden. To support Barnet Climate Action Month, the students at Middlesex University's Architectural Technology course will be showcasing the work they've completed as part of their Sustainable and Inclusive Built Environment Module.   

An eco-friendly fair within the East Barnet festival, showcasing some great local initiatives around protecting nature, reducing waste and living more sustainably, this will include displays, workshops and activities. There will also be sustainable artists selling their goods made from upcycled materials.

Youth Assembly

Youth Assembly meets approximately twice per term in the Council Chamber at Hendon Town Hall. It is the forum where young people get to meet and debate with elected members (councillors) on issues put forward by Barnet young people themselves. Youth Assembly is chaired by 3 elected young people and members meet online in between Assemblies to plan and chose topics.

Jack and the Beanstalk tells the story of hero Jack, who swaps his family’s cow for a bag of magic beans. By climbing the beanstalk grown from the beans he planted, he finds himself on a GIANT adventure. Sing-a-long and enjoy this adaptation by library staff of a much loved fairy tale! Suitable for children aged 3+.
