Make a Mosaic at Edgware library

Celebrate our Grandparents Week at our mosaic workshop and create a beautiful woodland themed animal mosaic. Children can bring your Grandparent or an older adult relative to the library and enjoy the fun of using professional mosaic-making tools and selecting your tiles from our large array of colourful, sparkling mosaic glass. Work on your design together or you can make a mosaic of your own. Booking is essential.

An afternoon with RNIB at Edgware library

Join RNIB, Barnet Libraries and other organisations for a drop-in event to support blind and partially sighted people. The day will include information and advice on sight loss and eye health, some interactive children's games, such as braille LEGO and sim specs. There will also be a selection of large print and audio books available to borrow and demonstrations of accessibility features on eBooks and eAudiobooks. Drop-in any time. No booking required.
A treat for Grandparents’ Week. In this mutual portrait painting workshop, grandkids - ideal for ages 7 to 13 - and grandparents get to celebrate each other in full, unadulterated (water)colour. And, yes, they’ll be taking it in turns to paint each other's portrait(s). This exuberant art workshop is for all levels of ability. Guidance is provided, and so are the materials. All you'll need to bring is the grandparent(s) - or grandchild(ren) - and bags of imagination. Book to secure a place.. Suitable for children aged 7+ and their grandparent.
