In this online event, join author Jackie Kohnstamm in conversation with Alex Galbinski on her journey to rediscover her grandparents lost in the Holocaust.
Jackie will talk about her book, The Memory Keeper: A Journey Into the Holocaust to Find My Family.
One winter's night, while surfing the internet, Jackie stumbles across information about her grandparents, Max and Mally, murdered before she was born. Four days earlier, two Strolpersteine (stumble stones) had been placed in the pavement outside their old Berlin home.
This act of commemoration by a stranger unlocks a long-closed cupboard of family papers, and the journey of the book begins.
