An exhibition of Middlesex University MA Interior’s work, that reimagines the opportunities of existing buildings for sustainable redevelopment. Marks and Spencer Marble Arch flagship store, on Oxford Street, has become central to the debate around adaptive reuse and retrofitting our existing buildings. Rather than demolishing and building anew, the work on display looks at alternatives. The student proposals explore minimising the carbon emission impact when re-imagining our high streets. We hope that the installation will create conversations about how we adapt our existing built environment, as we respond to the climate emergency. The exhibition will also be part of London Festival of Architecture.
