Dear Barnet Council, I would like to request the following information in respect of the disposal of land by Barnet Council to the east of Christchurch Lane, Hadley Wood, Barnet, EN5 4LB, which was the subject of a Cabinet Member Delegated Decision Paper, with a Date of Decision of 31/5/2024:1.How much has the Council spent in respect of legal fees, valuation fees, other professional advisor fees, internal allocated costs of Barnet council employees and councillors in respect of evaluating the proposed sale of this land, and the negotiation of all legal documents and agreements, including the Conditional Sale Agreement. Please list the fees by category.2.The gross amount to be received by Barnet Council in respect of the sale of this land is £430,000. What is the net amount, after all costs, all fees (both professional and other) and expenses?3.The purchaser of the land is Christchurchgrove Limited. What due diligence did the Council do on Christchurchgrove Limited, as this company has only been in existence since 2023, has no employees, and, according to their last financials available at Companies House, is a dormant company with cash in bank of £100?4.How did the Council ascertain that Christchurchgrove Limited had sufficient resources both financial and other, to complete the purchase and all other conditions precedent to the sale?If you require clarification, please contact me by email/post.
