Staff Demographics in HR and DEI Roles

Dear FOI Team, I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. This relates to staffing demographics and the outcomes of any Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives your council has implemented. 1. Staff Demographics in HR and DEI Roles Please provide the total number of employees currently employed in: a) Human Resources (HR) departmentsb) Diversity, Equity, Equality and/or Inclusion departments or roles (including full-time or part-time officers, managers, or leads) For each of these two categories (HR and DEI), please provide a breakdown by: *Gender (e.g. Male, Female, Non-binary, Other, Prefer not to say)*Age bracket (e.g. Under 25, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+)*Ethnic group (using your council's monitoring categories, or census categories if preferred)*Religion or belief (e.g. Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, No Religion, Other, Prefer not to say)*Pay band or salary range (e.g. local government grade or salary bands) If time permits within the same FOI request please answer the second part of the request below. If it doesn't just the one above. 2. Outcomes of DEI Initiatives - Promotions and Recruitment Please indicate: a) Which departments (or directorates) have seen promotions or new appointments where Diversity, Equality, or Inclusion initiatives, targets, or schemes played a role in the selection, recruitment, or promotion process during the last four calendar years (2022, 2023, and 2024 to date). b) For each such promotion or appointment, please provide the following aggregated demographic information of the individual(s) promoted or hired as a result of these DEI initiatives:*Department name*Whether it was a promotion or new hire*Gender*Age bracket*Ethnic group*Religion or belief*Pay band or salary rangeIf exact numbers could lead to the identification of individuals, I am happy to accept ranges or grouped data (e.g. 'fewer than 5 individuals' or "data withheld to avoid disclosure of personal information".Thank you for your time and assistance.
