Dear Trading Standards Freedom of Information team,(13/08/25)I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am seeking statistical information held by Trading Standards for your borough regarding the seizure of disposable or illegal vapes since the disposable vape ban came into effect.Specifically, I am seeking anonymised data on the following since June 1, 2025.1.The total number of disposable or single-use vapes seized by Trading Standards officers in the borough since June 1, 2025a.If held, the estimated retail value (in GBP) of the disposable or single-use vapes seized by Trading Standards officers in the borough since June 1, 20252.If held, the total number of illegal vapes (i.e. large tank capacities) seized by Trading Standards officers in the borough since June 1, 2025a.If held, the estimated retail value (in GBP) of the illegal vapes (i.e. large tank capacities) seized by Trading Standards officers in the borough since June 1, 2025Note: An illegal or unregulated vape does not comply with UK regulations, often meaning it's not registered with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), contains nicotine levels exceeding the legal limit (20mg/ml), or has a tank capacity larger than 2ml. These products can also be dangerous because they may contain harmful substances or even illegal drugs like THC or Spice. I confirm that I am not seeking any personal or identifying information about individuals involved in these cases. I would like you to provide the information in the following format:*Please provide the information in electronic format, preferably as an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file. Please avoid sending PDFs or Word documents if possible.*I have attached an Excel template for your convenience.
