Recycling & Waste Services of councils whom are WCAs and WDAs, or both

Please see the attached letter, which is a freedom of information request relating to your recycling & waste services. My organisation, INCPEN, deeply respects that understanding services at LOCAL level is essential in fostering effective relationships across the packaging value chain. Waste Collection Authorities (WCAs) and Waste Disposal Authorities (WDAs) are extremely important parts of that packaging value chain whether economically, socially and environmentally. This includes your direct link with the recycling & waste needs and ambitions of local citizens.*We have submitted our questions through the democrat FoI process because this is the route that has the people with expertise and knowledge at local level for such purposes. We have also taken care to ask questions where we believe the answers are easy to find internally, and do not require disproportionate officer time. *Hearing directly from you also means we have absolutely correct responses, rather than me going elsewhere and arriving at answers you would not agree with.*We know councils are under pressure on several fronts. So if you find you need a few days more than the legislated time to send back tour responses to me, we are fine with you doing so. Our goal is to be supportive of joint working and create effective partnerships between councils and packaging manufacturers, brands, retailers and recyclers.*Lastly, we know a number of councils have shared FoI teams. Our questions apply to each council individually, please, and a response for each council is welcome. Similarly, where councils (WCAs and/or WDAs) have shared recycling & waste services, our questions apply to each council individually albeit we appreciate some of your FoI responses may be similar or the same for each council.
