Grant applications for greenspaces in Hampstead Garden Suburbs

Received: 12 November 2025

-Britain's Biggest Living Garden-Domenic Rose-Friends of Lyttelton-Colin Gregory-Hampstead Garden Suburb Residents Association-Trees and Open Spaces CommitteeDear Sirs,OUR REFERENCE FOI DR 23I am making an FOI request regarding Grantapplication (s) to the GLA Green Fund by one or all of the above. All are operated by or involved with Domenic Rose. This application is supported by Barnet Council (Andrew Arliss)I would like to see the application and any other documentation and information you have regarding it and works and proposed works in Lyttelton Playing Fields NW11 and in Hampstead Garden Suburb generally. Biodiversity works and otherwise.Mr Rose refuses to tell me about the application, saying it was done online and cant be shared. He does say it is for £100,000.Barnet (Andrew Arliss) tell me they will match fund this but Mr Rose says Barnet will only give a small grant.I am only aware of this application because of a 'Whistleblower'.I am of the clear opinion that what Mr Rose wants to do has not been agreed or Consulted properly with local Residents in the Garden Suburb Ward of Barnet. Most local residents would like to see a new path created in Lyttelton Playing fields to create a circular walk. Mr Rose (and Barnet Parks) appears to be obsessed with Bio Diversity even perhaps to the detriment of this historic Park in the Hampstead Garden Suburb Conservation Area.
