London Festival of Architecture

The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) is returning to Barnet for the 20th Anniversary of the Festival with an exciting programme of activity and activations taking place across the borough, throughout the month of June. This is the second year that Barnet has formed a key Destination within the Festival’s programme and this year will see over 60 events take place across the borough that respond to this year’s theme of ‘Reimagine’.
Join us for an afternoon of celebration at the launch party for our new wellbeing space in the heart of Incredible Edible Barnet's community food garden. Discover the transformation of our space at St John’s United Reformed Church into a natural edible landscape for people, plants and wildlife to flourish. Find out more about the Incredible Edible Barnet garden on guided tours, indulge in growing and food related craft activities for all ages, and savour a botanical-themed afternoon tea featuring refreshing herb teas and locally made scones.

Painting Imagination at Chipping Barnet library

In this free family workshop, you'll be given all the tools and inspiration you'll need to pool imaginations and create unique, vibrant works of art. The mediums of choice will be gouache and watercolour paints, with a host of supplementary materials to make your creations really pop. Materials are all included, but make sure you bring your imagination. Suitable for ages 5 to 8 years. Booking required. Please book via the link.
London Festival of Architecture

For the second year running Barnet Council will be a destination for the London Festival of Architecture (LFA). Celebrating its 20th year, the theme for this year's festival is 'Reimagine' and Barnet's LFA programme is packed full of exciting activities for all ages to celebrate the architecture, local art and cultural assets within the borough. Barnet Libraries are proud to be taking part again and there are lots of events for adults and children throughout June.
Faith and Peace Walk 2024

The Faith and Peace Walk will follow the National Clean Air Day event at Middlesex University Campus between 12pm-3pm. It starts at Edgware Underground Station at 4.30pm. We will see the new ‘Stop and Smell the Flowers’ public mural and visit some amazing open spaces, heritage buildings and places of worship as part of the London Festival of Architecture. We finish at OneStovegrove community centre for a finale event from 7.30pm. This event is free to attend and people of all faiths and none are welcome.
