If you, a friend or family member are having problems with alcohol or drugs you can talk to someone at Barnet’s adult or young people's substance misuse services. Barnet residents can access a full range of services, from advice through to structured treatment programmes and residential treatment if necessary. Support is also available for young people and adults, along with their families and carers.

Library membership is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Barnet There are 2 types of library membership: e-membership if you want to use our digital library and online resources full library membership for use in any Barnet library and online Apply online for e-membership E-membership allows you to use all our online resources and borrow ebooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines straight away. You can apply online and will need a working email address.

The service covers fostering, as well as Supported Lodging Hosts and Special Guardians.  We have to comply with the requirements set by the Children Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000, and regulations made under those Acts, as well as National Minimum standards.
