Strictly fun dancing at Dance Barnet grand finals
The sparkling finals of Dance Barnet, a pan-disability Strictly-inspired dance competition took place on Thursday 16 May at the Pentland Theatre in the Arts Depot, north Finchley.
The event saw ten disabled people perform as they competed in a special initiative designed to provide accessible dance to everyone and to encourage more disabled people in the community to be active.

Barnet Council is inviting residents to vote for their favourite sustainability project, designed by local experts, with the winners taking home part of a total prize pot of £10,000 to help fund their idea.

Barnet Libraries Literary Festival is back! The weekend is packed with authors and books for you to enjoy.
Each event includes a question and answer session and an author book signing. You can buy copies of the books with cash or card.
The festival takes place at Finchley Church End Library on the weekend of Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May.
Chief Executive John Hooton to leave Barnet Council; Deputy Chief Executive Cath Shaw to take on role*
John Hooton has announced his departure after eight years as Chief Executive of Barnet Council and will leave towards the end of June.
Subject to the council’s governance processes, Deputy Chief Executive Cath Shaw will become Acting Chief Executive on John’s departure, pending permanent recruitment to the post.
