Nearly 300 laptops donated to support digital inclusion in Barnet
On Wednesday 16 July, a total of 280 refurbished laptops were handed over to the charity 2econd Chance – who work with the council to ensure computers get a longer life by redistributing them to residents who otherwise struggle to get online.
Barnet Council approves landmark rental housing scheme at Bunns Lane, Mill Hill
Barnet Council has granted planning permission for a major new residential development at Bunns Lane, Mill Hill, delivering 130 Build to Rent homes, fifty percent of which will be affordable.
The homes, which will be owned and managed by the Council, will be built on a council-owned car park next to Mill Hill Broadway station.
Barnet Council launches Autism Hub in partnership with Resources for Autism
Barnet Council yesterday (Tuesday 15 July) launched the Barnet Children & Families Autism Hub, a collaborative initiative with Resources for Autism, a national charity providing specialist support for autistic under 18s and their families.
The new hub is dedicated to supporting autistic children and young people and creating a supportive, neuro-affirmative environment where families can access a wealth of resources and information, both before and after an autism diagnosis.
